Spring 2016

Received some great press from Hyperallergic for Greenpoint Open Studios, which happened the weekend of April 30-May1st: "The two artists’ work that stood out most, Heather Morgan’s and Hein Koh’s, paralleled in that it was indifferent to good taste...Koh’s stuffed, vinyl monster sculptures have a Pop art immediacy while being creepy enough to unnerve." http://hyperallergic.com/295379/at-greenpoint-open-studios-facing-many-closed-doors/

Spring 2013

I'd forgotten to update my news page in a while, but wanted to let you know that I've moved and I'm all set up in my Greenpoint studio. I also spent a couple of days in April doing crits with the senior art majors at Dartmouth College, as an "Outside Evaluator," and gave a lecture on my work. Upcoming show details are still up in the air, stay tuned.

Winter 2012-2013

I've mostly been hibernating this winter, but I am in the process of moving my studio from Long Island City to Greenpoint. I am also looking for people to share my new studio with (two spaces are available, one for 144 sq ft and the other for 176 sq ft), if you happen to read this and know of anyone.

In the spring and summer, I have a few group shows coming up - at The Proposition, Cindy Rucker Gallery, and The Korean Cultural Service, all in New York, NY. Stay tuned for more details.

Fall 2012

I've curated a show, Sunday Paintings for Rainy Day, which opened September 13th at Field Projects Gallery in New York, NY. Please visit www.fieldprojectsgallery.com for more information. I am also participating in the first Invitational Dartmouth Alumni exhibition which opened September 14th, concurrent with the opening of the new Black Family Visual Arts Center and kicking off the Year of the Arts at Dartmouth. The show will be on view in the Top of the Hop and in the new Visual Arts Center, until December 1st, 2012.

“Timed to coincide with the opening of the new Black Family Visual Art Center, this exhibition celebrates the distinguished alumni of Dartmouth College’s Studio Art program. This two-venue exhibition, which will be on display in the Nearburg Gallery and Arts Forum in the new Black Family Visual Arts Center and the Top of the Hop, showcases paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture, and works in new media by outstanding artists, ranging from recent graduates to those who have been working professionally for many years. These highly accomplished artists value the importance of their arts education at Dartmouth and stay in close contact with their former instructors in the Studio Art Department. The fourteen artists whose work has been selected for this inaugural alumni exhibition bring a diverse range of approaches and techniques to their artistic practice. Seen together, their work exemplifies the vibrancy and eclecticism of the contemporary art world, which was first introduced to them by their professors at Dartmouth.”  - Michael R. Taylor, Director of the Hood Museum of Art

This exhibition is co-hosted by the Dartmouth Studio Art Department, the Hopkins Center for the Arts, and the Hood Museum of Art, and is generously supported by Dartmouth’s Year of the Arts initiative.
